So, we have had our heads filled with the good and the bad, everyday on TV, the newspaper and the internet regarding the Swine Flu. Are you going to get the vaccine??

I really don't think I am, but am I going to kick myself later for not doing it!

Politicians in Canada...

Ever since the wonderful American Digital Revolution in tvland, I have been watching CBC during my lunch breaks. I am going to be getting a converter box asap, because I don't think I can take much more of this.

On to my main point.. How do you feel about politicians speaking in French when they are talking to Canada entirely?? Personally I think it is stupid... they have a translator who is translating in English but they do not translate the question.... then sometimes the translator can barely be heard over the politician. I know French is a language of our wonderful country but when over 50% speak English, speak English, imo. I think it would be like Obama going up and speaking Spanish to the entire country. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Hope I didn't piss anyone off. A guy that I work with, loves to argue, and when I asked him about this he was trying to turn it into a fight. I don't want that, just curious if I am alone here.

Ninety seven sons and daughters didn't come home.

It is Remembrance Day today.
Please wear a poppy and take a moment at 11:00 AM to remember those who died,
and continue to die for your freedoms.
It is a small price to pay to honour their memory.

I almost forgot, Its Camp Day at Tim Hortons!

So, if you can, buy a coffee at any Timmy's in Canada and help send a kid to camp!

UPDATE:

The results are in! Tim Horton's commercials are running now, reporting that over 13,000 children are going to camp this summer due to Camp Day!

And they go to camp! A local boy here in Ontario got to go all the way to the east coast last summer.
Way to go Tim Horton's, and Timmy addicts!

The Extras on The Comedy Network

The Extras starts tonight on the Comedy Network at 10 PM!

The Extras is a fun, quirky comedy brought to you by Ricky Gervais, of "The Office" fame. He is the original "Michael Scott".

It is a show about actors hired as extras on set with big name stars. Stars such as Kate Winslet, Patrick Stewart, David Bowie and Daniel Radcliffe have appeared. Often they appear doing things out of character, as we know them, or put in situations, they probably have never encountered.

They start the first season tonight, January 22nd, and will start the second season in March.

It's great fun, so tune in if you haven't seen it. If you have, you will.
